Professor Maritz Laubscher, is a recipient of multiple prestigious awards, including the esteemed Edelstein medal leading the country's orthopaedic specialist exams in 2013. He is committed to enhancing trauma care standards and access across South Africa. Additionally, he plays an active role in both postgraduate and undergraduate teaching at the University of Cape Town. Beyond surgery, he's an avid water sports enthusiast, mastering kiteboarding, waterskiing, and paddling.
