· Orthopaedic Surgeon at Cape Orthopaedic Trauma Group

Dr Marc Nortje qualified as an Orthopaedic surgeon with an Orthopaedic Fellowship from the Colleges of Medicine South Africa and a Master of Medicine Degree, specializing in orthopaedics, from the University of Cape Town in 2009, after completing his medical degree and a Diploma in Primary Emergency Care.

He then moved on to complete an 18 month post qualification Fellowship, sub specializing in hip and knee surgery, with the Cape Hip and Knee Practice at Vincent Pallotti while maintaining his trauma interest at Cape Orthopaedic Trauma Group with a special interest in pelvic and acetabular reconstructive surgery, femoral trauma and soft tissue injuries around the hip.

Dr Nortje is involved in competitive surfski and canoe paddling as well as mountain biking.
